Arsenal might be without several key players for Wednesday’s match against Manchester United. Gabriel Magalhaes who had earlier suffered a knock against Sporting might miss this match after he was taken off against West Ham in the half time. Gabriel scored the opening goal for Arsenal. His availability on Wednesday still remains unknown. Mikel Merino was nowhere to be seen in Saturday’s team squad then later Arsenal revealed that the Spaniars had picked up a knee problem, this makes him doubtful for the visit of the Red Devils. Thomas Partey was an expected absentee from Arsenal’s squad on Saturday afternoon against West Ham. The club later revealed that he had suffered muscular issues and he will need further assessment before the visit of the Red Devils. In the defense Ben White had been playing with a pain in the knee for a while but it was eventually decided that the right-back would have to go through the knife. Ben will be out for some months.
On the other hand, Manchester United will be without the services of both Lisandro Martinez and Kobbie Mainoo for Wednesday’s Premier League clash with Arsenal, with the pair picking up milestone bookings against Everton. Martinez started at the back for the second time in a row which made withdraw from the Argentina squad while Mainoo made his first appearance since the start of October. The midfielder was booked in the 49th minute of the 4-0 win over Everton. Leny Yoro was not in the squad against Everton yet he returned to training since the start of November. It is more likely that Yoro will be on the bench, with Luke Shaw potentially coming in for a start at the back alongside Noussair Mazraoui and Matthijs de Ligt.
